MADRID, April 5 (Reuters) - Portuguese forward Luis Figo
expects to make his comeback for Real Madrid against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday,
despite continuing pain from his injured ankle.
Figo sustained the injury on February 19 and he suffered a recurrence of the
problem when he returned in the King's Cup final defeat to Deportivo Coruna on
March 6.
He has not played since that setback but now appears to be close to full
fitness once again and he is hoping to feature against Rayo this weekend.
'I'm still in some pain but that's normal and I expect to feel the effects
for some time to come,' Figo said on Friday, after being named in Vicente del
Bosque's squad for the Rayo game.
'I still don't know how the injury will respond in a game. I'll only get that
answer when I start playing.
'I'm pleased to be back in the squad and to off the coach another option,' he
said.
